The ARDX Smart Teens Accepting Responsibility Today (START) internship provides an exceptional learning experience for rising high school seniors in the Norfolk area. This year, ARDX is pleased to have four wonderful START interns gaining business experience and contributing to the ARDX mission.
Over the past month, the START interns worked tirelessly to create a charitable event called “Minute to Give It” to raise money to purchase and fill backpacks for every 5th grader at Chesterfield Academy in Norfolk, VA. This event was a spinoff of the popular game show “Minute to Win It,” where contestants compete in 60-second games for prizes. Our interns set up three separate “Minute to Win It” games and challenged all ARDX Associates to join in the fun and raise money for a great cause.
We had a huge outpouring of donations and great participation in this event! Over 50 Associates from ARDX, including the CEO, participated and had a great time playing the games that the interns set up for them. We raised nearly $500 which was used to purchase school supplies. The backpacks were delivered to Chesterfield Academy on August 5th.
