Gary T. McCollum, MBA, Corporate Advisory Board Chair
Bio:
A former senior vice president and general manager for Cox Communications — for which he oversaw the day-to-day operations of all Cox services in Virginia — Mr. McCollum remains active in numerous industry-related and community projects. He currently serves on the board of the Port of Virginia (POV), Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Blueprint Virginia, Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce (HRCC), and the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association (VCTA).
In addition, he is the founding chair of Elevate Early Education (E3), an early childhood education advocacy organization in Virginia. Mr. McCollum has been honored with numerous prestigious awards and recognition for his leadership and accomplishments at work and in the community.
Early in his career, he served on active duty as a military intelligence officer for the US Army. Mr. McCollum earned an MBA with a concentration in telecommunications from the University of Connecticut.
