Community Development Evaluation

The Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund and the Bank Enterprise Award (BEA) Program exist to promote economic development in distressed communities. The goal of the program is to increase commerce, decrease unemployment, and improve the outcomes for these communities. ARDX is currently evaluating the BEA program to determine its effectiveness in the following key areas:

  1. Effectiveness as a mechanism for providing performance-based awards
  2. Influence on bank behavior and investment strategy
  3. Impact on recipients and distressed communities
  4. Impact of program-eligible investments in CDFIs and in distressed communities

Ensuring Medicare Payment Accuracy

Accurate Medicare Advantage (MA) payment processing is essential to ensure appropriate and accurate payment to health plans. Encounter Data ensures that payments are made based on actual health encounters, which will result in more effective payment. ARDX has developed and implemented analysis and reporting tools, and conducted research on the short and long-term uses of encounter data and the integration of ICD-10 requirements into the Encounter Data System. Data from the analysis and reporting tools have helped to refine the system and ensure system accuracy.

Proven Training Events

ARDX assesses hundreds of training sessions to provide advice on process improvement and training effectiveness.  The team customizes surveys and uses mixed-methods data collection to provide valuable insights to federal audiences such as the Department of Treasury, as well as commercial audiences.

Medicare Analysis

With more than 55 million Americans covered by Medicare, payments to health plans amount to millions of dollars every year. The accuracy of these payments is highly dependent upon accurate and timely data submissions from health plans. ARDX worked closely with the government to identify and correct data submission errors from approximately 726 health plans. Ongoing data collection and analyses have allowed the government to recover millions of dollars.

REGTAP Training

ARDX facilitates hundreds of monthly training sessions in support of the Affordable Care Act. The training events, as well as the functionality of the online support system, and the Registration for Technical Assistance Portal (REGTAP), are assessed through ongoing evaluations. Input is used to improve the training process and system functionality.
